What can I Expect From My First Counselling Visit?

Visiting a RCC for the first time can be a significant step toward improving your mental well-being. 

At Crescentmoon Foundation, we aim to help you feel at ease.

During this initial appointment, the therapist will start by discussing confidentiality and the framework of therapy, ensuring you know your rights and what to anticipate. 

They'll ask about your reasons for seeking help, exploring any specific challenges you’re facing, your mental health history, and relevant life experiences. 

This first session is important for understanding your unique situation and tailoring the approach to your needs. You’ll have the chance to ask questions about the therapists' methods and the therapy process. 

By the end of the session, you’ll discuss next steps together, whether that involves setting therapy goals or scheduling follow-up sessions for deeper exploration.
